Luc borell

Over the past few years, mobile phone cameras have provided a completely new means of expression, which is simple, immediate and intuitive. Luc borell is deeply committed to this means of expression, even turning it into a concept, "photophone".

Luc borell was born in September 1954. A cultural engineer, he interprets the contemporary art movement in a completely original way. He navigates between photographs and paintings, making a firm stand for digital arts while remaining sensitive to enduring themes from the history of art.

Luc borell was the manager of a café-theatre for several years before turning to a career in art. He holds a degree in architecture and interior design as well as being a qualified heritage and garden technician. He has various sources of inspiration, including Egon Schiele and Pierre Soulages, as well as American painters such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Jasper Johns.
